Endless Commerce + RetailPath
RetailPath is wholesale AR automation for CPG brands selling into Walmart, Target, CVS, Walgreens, Ulta Beauty, and KeHE: it ingests remittances, applies cash, classifies every deduction, and files disputes with ASN, BOL, and POD evidence attached. Endless Commerce is the operating system underneath — orders, inventory, PIM, demand planning, and native EDI on one source of truth. The two sit on opposite sides of the same problem. Endless works upstream, so the claim never posts; RetailPath works downstream, so the claim that did post gets recovered. Run both and the recovery tool has less to recover.

Where each fits
RetailPath is good at something Endless does not do, and the reverse is also true. Here is the division of labour.
One works before the claim, one after it
A deduction you recover already cost you the work of finding it, evidencing it, and filing it inside a window that closes. Endless works on the shipment before it leaves — carton-level ASNs tied to scanned SSCC labels, invoices generated from the shipment rather than the purchase order — so the mismatch most codes describe never happens. RetailPath works on what still posts. The order matters: cut the volume first, then recover the remainder.
- Fewer claims to dispute in the first place
- Recovery on what still gets through
- Root cause lands in the system that placed the order
The evidence is already assembled
Winning a shortage dispute takes the purchase order, the ASN, the bill of lading, the proof of delivery, and the invoice agreeing with each other. On Endless they are one record, because Endless created them. RetailPath is built to reassemble that record across a 3PL, an EDI network, and an ERP — real engineering, and work it does well. When Endless is underneath, there is less to reassemble and fewer places a document can go missing.
- One record from purchase order to invoice
- Fewer integrations between the claim and the proof
- Document gaps visible before the claim posts
Cash application is theirs, not ours
Endless does not ingest remittances, match bundled checks to open invoices, code short-pays to a GL account, or file disputes to retailer portals. RetailPath does all four, and posts the result to NetSuite, QuickBooks, Acumatica, or Dynamics with an audit trail from remittance line to journal entry. A brand carrying a few hundred deduction lines a month has a real problem there, and this is the tool for it.
- Remittance ingestion from portals, EDI, and check stubs
- Short-pays coded and posted to the ERP
- Disputes filed with evidence attached
One workflow, or the back office around it
RetailPath is deliberately narrow: deductions, cash application, and the AI that works both. It does not run orders, inventory, catalog, or planning, and it does not try to. Endless runs those on one source of truth, with native EDI built in. Different layers of the stack, and a brand can reasonably want both.
- Orders, inventory, PIM, and planning on one model
- Native EDI rather than a network to integrate
- Agents across the whole back office
When to use each
Where each shines — plenty of brands run both.
- You want fewer deductions, not a faster way to dispute them
- You want native EDI on the same data as inventory and orders
- Your purchase orders, ASNs, and invoices disagree often enough to show up in the remittance
- You want orders, inventory, PIM, and demand planning on one source of truth
- You want transparent, published pricing
- You need cash application: remittances ingested, matched, coded, and posted to your ERP
- You have a backlog of posted deductions worth recovering before the window closes
- You sell into Walmart, Target, CVS, Walgreens, Ulta Beauty, or KeHE and want their programs handled in depth
- Your AR team is spending whole days on portal downloads and spreadsheet matching
These two do not substitute for each other. RetailPath recovers deductions and applies cash, which Endless does not do. Endless runs the operation that generates the deductions, which RetailPath does not do. A brand with a recovery backlog and a deduction rate that keeps climbing needs both: RetailPath to collect what is owed now, Endless underneath so next quarter produces fewer claims to collect.
The proof is in the numbers
Endless Commerce agents run the back office, so the work gets done — and shows up in the numbers. Here’s what that looks like in practice.
Stockouts: from 40+ stockouts a week to fewer than 3 — after agents took over reordering on one source of truth.

Endless Commerce + RetailPath FAQ
Do Endless Commerce and RetailPath compete?
Mostly no. RetailPath automates wholesale accounts receivable — cash application, deduction classification, and dispute filing. Endless is the commerce operating system that runs orders, inventory, catalog, planning, and native EDI. They overlap only on chargeback outcomes, and from opposite directions: Endless reduces how many claims post, RetailPath recovers the ones that do.
Does Endless Commerce do cash application?
No. Endless does not ingest retailer remittances, match payments to open invoices, code short-pays to GL accounts, or post applied cash to an ERP. That is RetailPath’s core product, and a brand that needs it should use a tool built for it.
Can Endless file deduction disputes for me?
No. Endless does not file disputes to retailer portals. What it does is keep the evidence a dispute needs — the purchase order, the ASN, the bill of lading, the proof of delivery, and the invoice — on one record, so the documents are connected and consistent when a claim arrives, whoever files it.
How does Endless reduce chargebacks?
Most shortage, substitution, and pricing codes come from the purchase order, the ASN, and the invoice describing slightly different shipments. Endless generates all three from one order record rather than rekeying between systems, and EndlessEDI builds carton-level ASNs from scanned SSCC labels with pre-ship validation. Brands on Endless report a 90% drop in retailer EDI chargebacks.
Does RetailPath work with Endless Commerce?
RetailPath connects to ERPs, EDI networks, and 3PLs to assemble the proof behind a claim, so a brand running Endless has that data in one place rather than spread across three systems. Confirm the current connection approach with both teams before planning an implementation.
Should I fix prevention or recovery first?
Do both, but start recovery immediately if you have a backlog — dispute windows close, and money sitting past the deadline is gone. Prevention pays off over the following quarters by shrinking the volume. Recovering a claim is always more expensive than never generating it.
Which retailers does each cover?
RetailPath goes deep on six: Walmart, Target, CVS, Walgreens, Ulta Beauty, and KeHE, with the code libraries and dispute playbooks for each. Endless publishes EDI requirements for 34 retailers and supports over 1,000 trading partners through native EDI. Depth on deduction programs versus breadth on trading connections.
