Digital Asset Management (DAM)
The system for storing, organizing, and distributing product images and media.
Also known as: DAM
What is Digital Asset Management (DAM)?
Digital Asset Management (DAM) is the practice and system for storing, organizing, versioning, and distributing rich media — product photography, video, spec sheets, and marketing assets. In commerce it pairs with PIM: the PIM governs the words and attributes, the DAM governs the images and files, and both feed every channel. A brand without a DAM tends to have the wrong image live somewhere at all times.
How Endless handles it
Endless links assets directly to catalog records, so the image that ships to a retailer portal or marketplace is always the approved, current one — versioned with the product it belongs to.
