EDIFACT
The international EDI standard used widely outside North America.
Also known as: UN/EDIFACT
What is EDIFACT?
EDIFACT (Electronic Data Interchange for Administration, Commerce and Transport) is the United Nations EDI standard used predominantly in Europe, Asia, and global logistics. It plays the same role as ANSI X12 but uses different message types — ORDERS instead of an 850, INVOIC instead of an 810. Brands expanding internationally often need to support both standards to trade across regions.
How Endless handles it
As brands expand overseas, Endless maps EDIFACT messages to the same internal order and invoice objects it uses for X12, so one operational model covers both hemispheres.
