Routing Guide
A retailer’s rulebook specifying exactly how suppliers must ship and label.
Also known as: vendor routing guide, shipping guide
What is Routing Guide?
A routing guide is the retailer-published rulebook that dictates precisely how a supplier must ship to it — carrier selection, ship windows, carton and pallet specs, GS1-128 labeling, ASN timing, and appointment scheduling. It is the source document behind most chargebacks, since any deviation is a fineable offense. Routing guides change without much warning, so keeping fulfillment aligned to the current version is a live obligation.
How Endless handles it
Endless operationalizes routing-guide rules inside fulfillment, so shipments conform to each retailer’s current requirements without a warehouse team memorizing PDFs.
