UPC (Universal Product Code)
The 12-digit barcode standard used to identify retail products at point of sale.
Also known as: UPC, barcode
What is UPC (Universal Product Code)?
A UPC (Universal Product Code) is the familiar 12-digit barcode used to identify products at retail point of sale in North America, and is one format of a GTIN. Each UPC is licensed through GS1 and maps to exactly one product variant. Retailers and marketplaces require valid, brand-owned UPCs, and reused or invalid codes are a common cause of listing rejections.
How Endless handles it
Endless keeps each variant’s UPC on its master record so listings, ASNs, and carton labels all reference the same code — no mismatches at the receiving dock.
