What is a wholesale price list?
A wholesale price list states what each account pays, by SKU, along with the terms attached. Most brands run several tiers — independent retailers, key accounts, distributors — because a distributor reselling to retailers needs a deeper discount than a shop selling to consumers.
Price lists need effective dates and version control. A retailer invoiced at a price it did not agree to will short-pay the difference, and resolving that requires producing the list that was in force on the order date.
