EDI 945 (Warehouse Shipping Advice)
A warehouse or 3PL’s confirmation of exactly what shipped.
Also known as: 945
What is EDI 945 (Warehouse Shipping Advice)?
The EDI 945 confirms that a warehouse or 3PL shipped an order placed via 940, reporting what actually went out — quantities, carton and SSCC details, and carrier/tracking. It is the basis for generating an accurate 856 ASN to the end buyer, so a bad 945 becomes a bad ASN becomes a chargeback.
How Endless handles it
Endless reconciles 945s against the order and auto-builds the downstream 856 ASN, keeping 3PL shipments compliant even when the goods never touch the brand’s own dock.
