Fill Rate
The percentage of ordered units a supplier actually ships.
Also known as: order fill rate
What is Fill Rate?
Fill rate is the percentage of ordered units a supplier successfully ships against a purchase order, a direct measure of how completely demand is met. A low fill rate means lost sales, unhappy accounts, and — with big retailers — OTIF penalties for the in-full shortfall. Fill rate is driven by inventory accuracy, forecasting, and safety stock, so it’s a symptom of upstream planning quality.
How Endless handles it
Endless keeps inventory accurate and allocation deliberate across channels, so brands protect fill rate on their key wholesale accounts instead of overselling and short-shipping.
