Warehouse Management System (WMS)
The system that runs day-to-day warehouse operations — receiving, slotting, picking, shipping.
Also known as: WMS
What is Warehouse Management System (WMS)?
A Warehouse Management System (WMS) is the software that runs the physical operations of a warehouse — receiving, putaway, slotting, picking, packing, and shipping — and keeps inventory accurate at the bin level. It is distinct from an OMS, which decides what to fulfill; the WMS executes how. When the WMS and the commerce system are disconnected, inventory truth splits between them.
How Endless handles it
Endless unifies warehouse execution with the order and inventory model, so what happens on the floor and what the rest of the business sees are the same live data.
