Multi-Stop Load

A truckload that makes more than one pickup or delivery on the same trip.

Also known as: multi-stop, stop-off charge, multi-stop truckload

What is Multi-Stop Load?

A multi-stop load is a truckload that picks up at, delivers to, or does both at more than one location on the same trip, such as one truck serving three stores or two suppliers filling one trailer. Carriers charge a stop-off fee for each stop after the first, and each stop needs its own appointment and paperwork. In an EDI 204 load tender every stop is its own loop, so the tender spells out the sequence, the freight at each stop, and its time window.

How Endless handles it

Endless keeps every PO on a shipment linked to it, so a load that serves several stops still reconciles to the orders behind each one.
