Single Source of Truth
One authoritative record for a given piece of data that every system reads from.
Also known as: source of truth, SSOT
What is Single Source of Truth?
A single source of truth is one authoritative, canonical record for a given piece of data — a product, an inventory count, an order — that every other system reads from rather than maintaining its own copy. Without it, teams reconcile conflicting numbers across tools and act on stale data. The concept is the antidote to the sprawl of exports, spreadsheets, and nightly syncs that accumulate as a brand scales.
How Endless handles it
Endless is built as a single source of truth for catalog, inventory, and orders, so channels and partners read live from one record instead of chasing reconciled copies.
