EDI 210: Motor Carrier Freight Details and Invoice
The carrier’s electronic freight bill for a completed shipment.
Carrier → Shipper / Bill-to party
After delivery, when the carrier bills for the move.
What is the EDI 210?
The EDI 210 is the motor carrier’s invoice. It lists the shipment references (PRO number, bill of lading, and PO), the weight and freight class, the linehaul charge, fuel surcharge, and every accessorial such as liftgate, detention, or a reweigh. Freight audit compares each 210 line against the contracted rate and the original tender, because a 210 billed on the wrong class or with an accessorial nobody approved is the most common way freight costs drift above the quote.
How EndlessEDI handles the 210
EndlessEDI receives 210 freight invoices and reconciles them against the shipment’s expected costs, so overcharges surface before payment and true freight lands in landed cost per SKU.
