EDI 212: Motor Carrier Delivery Trailer Manifest
The carrier’s list of shipments loaded on a trailer headed for delivery.
Carrier → Consignee
When a carrier loads a trailer for delivery to a consignee.
What is the EDI 212?
The EDI 212 tells a consignee which shipments are on a trailer before it arrives: each PRO or bill of lading, the shipper, the piece count, and the weight. A receiving dock uses it to plan labor and to check that every expected shipment is on the truck. A shipment missing from the 212 is the first sign that a delivery will arrive short.
How EndlessEDI handles the 212
EndlessEDI receives 212s and matches each listed shipment to the inbound shipments and POs Endless expects, so a missing shipment shows up before the trailer is unloaded.
