EDI 215: Motor Carrier Pick-up Manifest
The shipper’s list of shipments ready for a carrier to collect.
Shipper → Carrier
Before a scheduled carrier pickup with several shipments.
What is the EDI 215?
The EDI 215 lists the shipments a carrier will collect at a pickup: bill of lading numbers, consignees, handling units, and weights. It gives the driver and the carrier’s terminal one document to check against what is on the dock, which is useful when a shipper tenders several LTL shipments to the same carrier each day.
How EndlessEDI handles the 215
EndlessEDI sends 215s built from the day’s outbound shipments in Endless, so the carrier’s pickup list matches the orders being shipped.
