EDI 410: Rail Carrier Freight Details and Invoice
The railroad’s electronic freight bill for a rail shipment.
Rail carrier → Bill-to party
After the railroad rates a completed or in-transit shipment.
What is the EDI 410?
The EDI 410 is a railroad’s invoice for a shipment: the waybill references, car or container, route, weight, rate, and charges. It is the rail counterpart of the motor carrier 210, and freight audit matches it to the contracted rate and the 404 that started the move.
How EndlessEDI handles the 410
EndlessEDI receives 410s and reconciles them against the shipment’s expected costs, so rail freight lands in landed cost per SKU at the amount billed.
